Village Green is unique in that it is a housing cooperative entirely owned by community members. This makes for friendly neighbors with an excellent sense of community that is very family friendly. There are 4 playgrounds within Village Green for kids. There is a shared area where residents can garden. Membership in the co-op grants your household free entry to Lauritzen Gardens. The proximity to the zoo, downtown businesses, old market, and museums and easy access to I-80 make it easy to enjoy all Omaha has to offer.
This unit has been recently renovated with new kitchen appliances, and brand new air conditioner in May 2014. The neighbors on both sides are quiet, friendly, long-term community residents. It's situation at the end of 3rd street plaza gives great views of Lauritzen Gardens and accompanying wildlife out the rear windows. We love our home, but are moving from Omaha in July.
